Stephanie is a proud, pro-life Christian conservative who understands the true power of a strong education system. As a mother of three , she understands what it takes to prepare the next generation to compete, succeed, and build their lives right here at home. That’s why, from the moment she was elected, Stephanie has dedicated her time and energy to restoring excellence and opportunity in Louisiana education. She championed increased scholarship funding for high-achieving students, helping Louisiana compete with elite out-of-state offers and retain Louisiana's graduates. Stephanie also helped launch Louisiana's first universal education savings account – which allows families direct access to public dollars for private school, homeschool, or tutoring. She also supported efforts to return to basics in the classroom and let teachers teach. The results are in. Louisiana’s educational ranking has moved from 49th to 32nd, the best ranking in Louisiana history, with more improvement on the way.
Stephanie also cares deeply about keeping our children safe both in the classroom and online. She has sponsored legislation to ensure discipline records, along with academic records, follow children when they move between Louisiana schools. Additionally, she co-authored a bill to ensure age verification for apps and online purchases, ensuring parents - not big tech - decide what kids have access to online.

Reducing Taxes, Ranking in the Top 15, Launching High Impact Jobs
Stephanie is passionate about supporting local job creators, small businesses, and the industries that keep Louisiana's economy strong. When businesses thrive, families thrive – and that’s why she has made economic growth and fiscal responsibility top priorities. Stephanie has worked to create targeted incentives to bring long-term, high-wage employers to Louisiana and promote economic development. Stephanie supported the largest tax cut in Louisiana history.
During the 2024 Special Session, legislators flattened the personal income-tax rate to 3%, lowering the corporate rate from 7.5% to 5.5%, and eliminated the outdated franchise tax. It’s working! Over $70 Billion in new private investment is on the way to Louisiana. We have moved into the Top 15 for Business Tax Climate moved from 40th to 26th nationally for corporate and personal income-tax competitiveness, and moved from 50th to 18th in economic outlook.
Fighting TO MOVE LOUISIANA RESIDENTS FROM DEPENDENCE TO INDEPENDENCE
Modernizing Louisiana Government and Ensuring Accountability
Stephanie’s landmark legislation, Act 478 (HB 624), known as One Door, reforms and modernizes Louisiana’s safety net system by creating a single point of entry for services and pairing individuals with case managers to help them transition from dependence to independence. This is a strong step toward breaking the cycle of generational poverty by promoting work, self-sufficiency, and accountability, while also streamlining government efficiency. The law ensures state agencies like Louisiana Works and the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) work hand-in-hand, aligning with upcoming federal workforce requirements, strengthening the pipeline of qualified workers to meet employer needs. It also allows the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to better focus on child welfare. Other states are already looking to Louisiana as a model for how to deliver safety net services more effectively while conserving resources and encouraging independence.

As a state representative, Stephanie has been a leading voice on public-safety reforms that restore order and protect families. She supported efforts to crack down on violent crime with more law enforcement in high crime areas, tougher penalties for criminals, and real support for those who wear a badge. Her work has helped reduce crime and give communities the security they deserve.

Reforming Legal Insurance Systems
As your representative, Stephanie promised to work to lower home insurance rates to help families stay in Louisiana. She has delivered on her promise – passing more than 50 bills addressing lawsuit abuse and insurance fraud, stabilizing the state’s insurance market. Because of the work done by Stephanie and her Republican colleagues in the legislature, over 20 companies have filed for rate decreases for auto policies. Additionally, Louisiana is now the fastest-growing state in the nation for adopting storm-resistant fortified roofs. This momentum is the best way to protect our homes and drive down insurance costs.
